On September 10th, CCL welcomed the Baltimoreans highlighted in the award-winning documentary Charm City and over 400 guests to a Forum Digital Café on “Race, Reality, and Lessons Learned from Baltimore.”

The panelists included Alex Long, community activist and founder of Team Redemption Boxing Gym, Clay “Mr. C” Guyton, founder and leader of Rose Street Community Center, Councilman Brandon Scott, now Mayor of Baltimore, and Lt. Colonel Monique Brown, responsible for Community Relations and Special Operations within the Baltimore Police Force. The panel was moderated by Marilyn Ness, director/producer of Charm City and producer of Michelle Obama’s Becoming, Breonna Rogers, community leader and KPMG Audit Associate from Baltimore, and Chip Adams, co-founder of CCL.

In this 90-minute candid discussion, the panelists’ shared personal stories and insights on race, policing, community, and leadership. CCL Forum Members had the opportunity to ask questions directly to the panelists and gain their perspectives on these topics, and the panelists each shared their vision for the future.
